Locating everywhere in the world

Deveryware provides you technologies simplifying location-based services (LBS). By relying upon satellite communications networks, and especially Globalstar and Iridium, Deveryware is able to locate vehicles, goods or partners anywhere in the world. This technique is useful in areas without terrestrial communication channels as well as for transnational and multimodal transports.

The breakthroughs as far as location terminal devices’ power management is concerned and the growing capacity of Deveryware’s platform – called Geohub – boosted the use of self-contained beacons, that is to say not connected with an external power source. These equipments’ implementation is quick (no need to install any software) and their battery life enables to transmit a few locations per day during several years. For instance, Globalstar AXTracker beacon can transmit two positions a day during more than three years.

A new generation of self-contained beacons can support several communication means which enables them to automatically choose the most suitable according to the available networks. For instance, the Silex Iridium is able to send its position via GPRS and/or SMS; yet when the terrestrial network is not available anymore or when the beacon is not in a roaming situation, the position is sent through Iridium satellite networks.

Deveryware offers its users a variety of functionalities, from basic location on maps to reception of programmable warnings in order to meet specific needs, not to mention the remote monitoring of beacons and terminal devices to adapt their mission. The whole system relies on the Geohub of Deveryware, an industrial platform with a 99.9 % availability you can reach via secured web service from any stationary or mobile equipment connected to Internet. Constantly looking for new ideas for our customers, we will soon be connected to other satellite networks in order to expand our offer and widen our worldwide coverage.
